PROJECT: HACIENDA CDC
DESCRIPTION: MARKETING
LOCATION: PORTLAND, OR

SITUATION:

Hacienda Community Development Corporation is dedicated to improving the lives of marginalized communities through economic opportunity, youth and family services and parenting education. I identified a need for a stronger online presence and leveraged existing program events and information to draw more attention to Hacienda CDC as a cultural and community resource online.

TASK:

  • Identified areas of improvement from a brand perspective
  • Maintain and up-to-date presence for the organization
  • Provided data and information to the community and supporters of Hacienda CDC

ACTION:

  • Wrote copy for blog posts
  • Created an Instagram page
  • Gave the organization's website an update
  • Organized staff photo day, captured and edited new staff photos for the website
  • Coordinated Hacienda's feature in local publication Tilde Noticias

RESULTS:

  • Grew Instagram following from 0-170 within two months
  • Made the website flow better by: reorganizing tabs, updating copy, creating a blog, and updated links to department pages
  • Facilitated cover story for Hacienda in Tilde Noticias July 2017 issue
