We all have seen the recent circulation of articles about the lack of benefits of wearing a bra. After I got past the as-much-cleavage-as-possible stage of my early twenties, I've hated wearing bras. There's no better feeling than coming home and unhooking those straps and letting my girls free lol. But my 9-5 professional job limits me from going bra-less. I know... going bra-less can be achieved with some intentional layering but most days I'm rolling out of bed with only 15 min before I need to leave for work. I'm lucky if I can dig out a matching scarf to layer on.
So, a bunch of my bras were getting close to retirement. As I was dreading paying $20+ to replace each of my bra's, I happened across a few really inexpensive, stylish, and comfy alternatives - pictured below.
My first recent bralette pickup was from free people. I got a cute cropped bralette for just $10!(TIP: their online sale section is the best and has a much greater selection than in store, and you get to avoid the mess of hangers crammed onto a tight rack.)
Now for the twist. As I was shopping online for a client at Forever 21, I of course had to check out what their intimates had to offer. Their bralette options are SO cute, you can get a matching set for under $15. Pretty much in love with them.
Lastly, for the socially conscious// the materials are all the same. However, my Free People bralette was made in the USA and the Forever 21 ones are made in China/Vietnam.
